Quebec, November 2018.- On October 22nd, thanks to Father Raymond Poulin, we knew about ABEL, a fifteen month old baby. His mother, Kari-Lyn Pelletier, a former pupil of the College Dina Belanger of St-Michel de Bellechasse (Quebec), came to present her child to Dina Belanger. Abel was born prematurely on September 15th, and Father Poulin baptised him at the hospital on November 1st. Abel is deaf and suffers from a rare illness. The family is delighted with his progress and the staff, both medical and nursing, confirm that a big favor has been obtained by Blessed Dina. Kari- Lyn, his mother, has a deep faith. The entire community of Sillery pray with the family. We are following the development of this child from Saint-Roch-des- Aulnaies.


Quebec, September 2018.- Last September. NICANOR FOPING, of Cameroun, who now lives in Quebec, suffered serious cardiac problems. His wife, Beatrice, prayed intensely to Dina Bélanger for his recovery. Even the hospital staff were surprised that he was cured. We are taking the necessary steps to ensure a follow-up for this big favor. Nicanor and Beatrice are members of the Association, the Family of Jesus and Mary in Sillery (Quebec).

México.  Mérida de Yucatán .- My name is Jorgelina Barrera Alcocer.  In November 2014 I became aware that I  was pregnant a second time.  The gynecologist who took care of me the first time had told me that if I became pregnant again it would be a great risk and I would have to lie down almost all the nine months. The first time they had to make a uterine                 cerclage in the 17^th week.

This news made me very afraid, because, who would take my 4 year old son to school and to the afternoon activities?  My husband works in Cancún and my mother is now very old.  In Jesus and Mary School of Mérida where I am a mathematics teacher, they gave me all necessary possibilities. One day I met Sister Teresa Ochoa; I told her about my pregnancy.  She told me they were going to entrust everything to Dina Bélanger and she gave me a relic, a picture with the prayer and a medal.  Beginning that day I recited the prayer every morning, I placed the relic near the baby and the medal in my blouse.   

Every month when I went to the Doctor, prepared that he would tell me I would have to lie down because there was risk for the baby, miraculously it was all the contrary.  In the morning I worked in the school and in the afternoon I lie-down, I did not drive, I did not walk too much and my friends offered themselves to take my son in the afternoon.  Thus, in this way my pregnancy considered of high risk, in general, took place in a normal way and they did not make the uterine cerclage.

The cesarean took place on June 22, 2015.  When they began to operate me, the doctors were surprised and commented that it was going to be a difficult operation since the baby was sitting up and had the umbilical cord around the neck and besides she was very high up,  During the operation I entrusted myself to God and to Dina.  I will never forget the expression of the anesthetist when he heard the baby cry: God is great!!!

And this is how this miracle was born, my Caroline, who from the beginning was a fighter and through the intercession of Dina and Jesus she is growing in a healthy way. Mérida June, 1^st 2017.     

Canadá - Baie-Cameau – July 2016.- I knew Dina in the presence of my friend Hélène Bujold.   I knelt before her tomb. On that occasion I prayed to give me the joy to live since I was not happy especially on account of my relationships at work. 

I had taken different means to improve my situation in work: consulting psychologists, psychiatrists but all in vain.  After this I fell into a deep depression.  My only life-saving was to pray to Dina to get out of this situation.

According to me Dina helped me, by my prayers; the dynamic of my relationships at work gradually changed.  Praying to Dina calmed me down in my moments of anguish.  I prayed for my daughter, for my son and everything was arranged.

For the rest of my life I will trust Dina and I promise if Dina is canonized I will do everything possible to go to Rome.  L. R. and Louis Bélanger.

Canada 29-02-2016 – Hélène and Yvan wanted to sell their farm in good conditions, both for those selling as well as for those buying.  After praying to Dina for two months the farm was sold under unexpected conditions.  Blessed Dina, I love you and I trust in you.  Jeanne Mercier.

Canada 11-04-2016 - Thank you Blessed Dina for the operation of Valmont which succeeded very well -  And thank you for the work that Denise obtained. 

España  -  I, Maria Fernanda Gallup Salas, with DNI 74139591, had a car accident together with my husband on November 5, 2016 and I remained seriously hurt.  I was in the Intensive Care Unit up until the 26^th of the same month and during eleven days I was intubated because I could not breathe on my own.

I left the Hospital only on December 14, since I had to undergo surgery for the two femurs, the tibia, the fibula, the right wrist and the left shoulder, and I also suffered traumatism in the skull.  The first days were critical, the first things that the doctors of the hospital did was to remove the spleen because it could not stop bleeding.  During several days the doctors told my sons that my life was in danger.

I am aware of the many persons who have prayed for my recovery through the intercession of Blessed Dina Bélanger, RJM.  This is a great favor which she obtained for me that I am now alive.  Therefore, I want to make known my thanksgiving for her intercession and express my gratitude to all the Religious of Jesus and Mary who prayed to Blessed Dina for my recovery.             

Orihuela, Spain, April 17^th, 2017.

El Alto de La PAZ, Bolivia.- On November 14, 2016, Luis Mamani, a young boy 24 years old, was working in a mechanic’s workshop.  The driver of a crane negligently let a bundle of iron of one ton fall and it landed on the body of Luis, leaving him paralyzed and unconscious. The terrible pain made him faint.  He was taken to the hospital and the first diagnosis was multiple injuries in the hips, collar bone, left arm with three different fractures as well as all the ribs on the left side.  The pain was unbearable.  

That night was the longest of his life.   He had the time to make a long examination of conscience.  It was difficult for him to breathe and he no longer had the strength to continue living.  In a last effort to show his strength, he asked pardon to his mother who had suffered very much because of his behavior.  This was a true open confession, sincere in his heart; he was seeing God.   Then he fell into a state comma.  The situation was critical and the doctor gave less hope from day to day.  Immediately we asked the Religious of our communities in Bolivia to pray to God ceaselessly through the intercession of Blessed Dina Bélanger.   

The following day he was transferred to another hospital and after two days, having great pain, he recovered from the state of comma and gained consciousness.  A religious visited him and spoke to him about the time of illness of Saint Ignatius of Loyola after he was wounded in Pamplona.   Luis then asked for some spiritual book.

They still delayed ten days before they could operate him, due to the strikes of the sanitary personnel.  The surgical intervention lasted ten hours.  The doctor was surprised that he had responded favorably; before he did not expect any good result and thought that he could not get out of this situation; it was too much, even though convenient, for one only surgery. 

The recovery was another very difficult stage, because of the condition of the hip but Luis wanted to live.  In February 2017, he was able to sit down and to stand and take a few steps with the help of a walker.  Now in May he is much better, he walks alone and goes out on the street though with limitations.  He has a strong will and much energy.  With the help of God and of Blessed Dina, we believe that he will recover completely.  Lidia Mamani, rjm, May 15, 2017. 

Canadá - During the summer of 2013 a fired wreaked havoc in the sector of Monts-Grouix in the north of the Province of Quebec. It is an isolated place where a few chalets for the holidays are found.  One of these chalets belongs to Simon Canuel and is an auto-construction of solid wood.

During a rainless time, a forest fire broke out lashing on that sector in enormous proportions.  It lasted several days in a sector predominantly of the black “epinettes” and moss; very inflammable vegetation and favorable for the fire.  The fire spread out rapidly and it was difficult for the forest firemen to control it. They worked without stop day and night to avoid that the fire would burn the public installations.  The protection of the chalets was of secondary importance, even though the firemen took time to install water sprinklers on the roofs of several chalets.

Hélène Bujold, aunt of Simon and an admirer of Dina Belanger, came to know the danger that threatened her nephew’s chalet and she asked the Religious of Jesus and Mary of Quebec for prayers to protect the chalet.

Our prayers were heard. The flames tried to burn the chalet in three different moments, due to the wind which constantly changed direction.  The fire stopped the first time to the east of the chalet approximately 3 meters away.  The wooden cords of the heating system 4 meters away were burnt.  The following morning, the fire changed its way and once again towards the south. Once again the fire stopped a few meters away from the chalet but burnt all the trees near the façade.  The fire again changed its path and moved towards the chalet.  Again and as a miracle the fire stopped very close to the chalet.

This was an exceptional event.  The water sprinklers helped so that the chalet would not be grass for the flames, since they had dampened the walls.  But since the fire three times came very near to the chalet it was exceptional that it did not burn.  Our prayers to Dina were heard.

Some of the firemen said that the fire was so strong that it advanced like a wall, and that it burnt everything passing by.  Why did it stop near the chalet three times?

The Catholic TV channel in the United States presented during one hour a document on Dina Bélanger, with Bob and Penny Lord who had visited the Center Dina Bélanger in Sillery.  I saw this edition two times and this inspired me to ask her to cure my hand. 

A serious problem had gradually begun in my right hand.  I was not able to put my fingers together, this prevented every movement. I could no longer play the piano.  I cried and felt desolate not to be able to dedicate myself any more to music which was the priority in my life.  I began a Novena to Blessed Dina Belanger.  One morning during the Novena, I saw that I could put my fingers together and I felt my hand was cured. It is already two years since this happened and my hand is completely normal.  I play the piano and other instruments as I did before. I do not have a medical certificate, but I sincerely believe that Blessed Dina Belanger has been my best doctor.  I continue to pray to her with great gratitude and I will be very happy if this favor is published.  Thank you whole heartedly. I.H. Antonio Santos Ruiz – Merida, Yucatan. Three and a half years ago, in 2011, I was sent to prison in Merida. On arrival I was in good health, my mind confused and my soul in shreds.  I had never been a devout catholic.  Almost overnight I became terminally ill, with a weight of only 50 kilos although normally I weighed 78 kilos. Finding myself dying, handcuffed to a hospital bed, without a visitor or anyone who could contact my family. I felt morally abandoned, but with a deep desire that God, if He existed, would help me not to feel this immense solitude. One day I felt that something was releasing me from the arms of death and, with a sudden jolt I realised that a Sister of Jesus and Mary was at my side saying, “Don’t worry, God is with you, you’ll see, you will get better” and she gave me a picture of Blessed Dina Belanger.  From that moment my life began to change in every aspect.  My family came to see me and I recovered. Now I weigh 80 kilos, without taking any medication and do sport with an infinite desire to live. There are no words with which to thank Dina, neither do I doubt that God exists and that miracles happen. For me it was a miracle of love and a proof of His love and existence. Mérida, 2016.

Canada: In July, I entered the Hospital of Bathurst for some tests for the heart; before there had been some failures and a heart attack.  Afterwards, the doctors had no other choice than to send me to the Hospital of St-Jean to undergo an operation. 

At home I was in great pain in the thorax, but it was necessary to wait.  The month of July passed and the end of August arrived… and no call from the Hospital.  Now I was unable to do anything because of the great pain.  My wife and I decided to make a novena to Dina Bélanger from August 26 to September 4, asking her to intervene so that I could have a place in the Hospital.  In the 6^th day of the Novena, I had not received any call yet.  Our pleas to Dina were multiplied.  Not being able to wait any longer I told my wife “I think Dina is doing this ‘on purpose’ so that we can finish the Novena”. When the 9^th day arrived, still there was no response.  The next day was her feast, September 4 and the 10^th day.  On arriving home after the Mass anniversary of Dina, I still had not finished turning the key to open the door, when the telephone rang. It was from the Hospital: “It is necessary for you to be here Sunday morning at 9 clock”.  Everything was done as we had asked.

For those who do not believe, how can this be called? Certainly it is not coincidence!  Why was I not called before the Novena? Thank you Dina for this great favor and the others I have obtained since then. Gilbert Savoie, Lamèque 2002.

Mª de la Paz Viniegra, rjm. La Habana – Cuba: Thank you very much to each and every one who joined in prayer for the success of Dr. Arturo Viñas’ operation.

The community and his family made a novena to Blessed Dina Bélanger.  Our friend Arturo had an operation on the 18^th of November 2013.  The doctors reported that it was an extraordinary operation: the tumour he had was almost the same size as his brain’s left hemisphere; in fact his entire brain was dislocated.  The doctors could not understand how he came through the operation unscathed, perfect.  The doctor said to Dinorah, (Arturo’s wife and also a doctor):

 “I can’t fathom it.  This is a miracle.  We cannot understand how he is doing so well”. 

Yesterday 27^th of November, they received the results of the biopsy: he is perfectly well; the whole tumour is benign and tomorrow he will be discharged from the hospital.

Within less than 24 hours after the operation Arturo was already asking for a newspaper to read and the day after he was watching football!

A large section of his brain is missing.  Eventually they will do a cranial prosthesis.  Everyone is happy.  Dinorah said to me: “I don’t know if this is a miracle to be sent to Rome, but there is no doubt here about God’s involvement”.  The doctor, who is not a believer, continues to be amazed at Arturo’s recovery. 

Therefore… THANK YOU!  It is the power of prayer.  We cannot explain it otherwise.

It is not only this moment that is miraculous, since before the operation Arturo was filled with peace and confidence; he placed himself in God’s hands… and this is the greatest miracle of one’s life. Life is a miracle. With love and gratitude.

Canada 24-04-2016: They asked Dina, in whom they had great trust, that she would intercede for Jean-Francois Malenfant who was to be operated on for pancreatic cancer.

Two days later he underwent the operation which was successful. They wholeheartedly thank Blessed Dina.

Synthesis of an account received from Mirna Ruiz de Merida, Yucatan. My thirty-three year old son suffered from an advanced leukemia and was in great pain. The oncologist told me that his death would be very distressing. He complained and continually cursed God. Someone gave me a picture and a relic of Blessed Dina. I had recourse to her in the hope that my son would be healed. I asked him to go to confession in order to be able to receive communion, but with no success. A friend came to visit him and invited us to go to Mass. We went the following week, my son’s attitude changed and he asked to make his confession and to receive communion. He continued to receive communion and, little by little, came to accept his illness. I noticed that, before going for his chemotherapy treatment, he said “Goodbye” to Dina’s picture and took the relic with him. A short time later he died peacefully and reconciled with God. The undertaker found the relic of Dina in his clothing.  I am so grateful to Dina because, although he was not healed physically, he was restored spiritually.

Alain Larivière from Montreal, (Canada) writes: These are just a few words to say that my mother’s operation, which took place on the 29^th March, went very well. Almost unbelievable but true … they were able to remove the cancerous tumour from her throat without any further damage. There had been two threats: one was the possible loss of the only vocal cord and that, in order to enable her to breathe, they would have to perform a tracheotomy; the other was that the tumour would have been internal … that would have been the end … thank you Dina!

This is a synthesis of an account sent by Carolina Miani of Córdoba, Argentina: When I was five months pregnant an ultrasound scan revealed that the baby possibly had a hydrocephalic condition. As there was also a problem with the amniotic fluid, this was, although cautious, a discouraging prognosis. Two weeks later, after another ultrasound scan, the doctors diagnosed ventriculomegalis (with the possibility of hydrocephalus, a division in the septum pellucidum of cuerpo calloos and microftalmina). We were very worried and began a chain of prayer in which many others participated, asking Dina Belanger that Frederick would be born healthy.  Later on, the doctor decided to do a prenatal MRI scan and the results were fairly encouraging.  Frederick was born on Match 25 2015. The perinatal diagnostic was bilateral atresia. He was in hospital for almost four months and underwent seven major operations.  It was a very difficult time for us all.   Two days before the end of the fourth month he was discharged. Today he is in very good health and the doctors can hardly believe such an excellent outcome. We hope that Dina will be canonised for, we believe with all our hearts, in hope and in faith that it was she who interceded for Frederick before God.

From Mexico Ana Gabriela Gomez shares the following: My son underwent an operation to remove his pituitary gland and spent two days in Intensive Care. He was already recuperating from this when a fistula developed: this did not heal and the doctors had to insert a drain to remove the fluid from his brain. We began to pray to Dina and noticed a daily improvement. Soon afterwards the doctors removed the drain and said that he had fully recovered. We thank Dina for this miracle that we have received.
